Overview

Humanizing online learning involves rethinking an online course as a human experience. An engaged, emotionally connected instructor and students are critical to building community in an online course. In this presentation, we will consider the elements of presence, empathy, and awareness -- three core components of facilitating a humanized online learning experience and scratch the surface of the 6 Cs (Hang & Wan, 2001) of humanized course design: choice, challenge, collaboration, constructing meaning, and consequence.

Enjoy!
